Arsenal have set a new individual-season Premier League record for goals scored from corners after taking the lead against Newcastle United.
The Gunners have now scored 17 goals from corners this season the most ever recorded in a single Premier League campaign. They have also set a second benchmark, with 10 of those goals opening the scoring (1–0).
The breakthrough came early, as Eberechi Eze collected a pass on the edge of the area before unleashing a powerful strike into the top-left corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance and giving Arsenal a 1–0 lead inside 10 minutes.
