Bernardo Silva will leave Manchester City this summer, with his contract ending.
According to the Portuguese midfielder, his Champions League semi-final match against Real Madrid back in 2023 remains his best match in a Man City shirt as his team won 4-0.
“This is the Real Madrid match,” Bernardo says
“If I could choose one match, one moment, to relive… The stadium was on fire, the atmosphere was fantastic. For me, personally, this match is perhaps one of my best memories of the club.
“The way we started the game, the way we attacked them, they couldn’t string together three or four passes. To create that feeling against a team like Real Madrid, the kings of Europe at that time, to do that to them and win 4-0 at home, it was an incredible night for us,” the player told The Athletic.
He added: “We had finally achieved the dream we had longed for, after so many frustrations. Along with the World Cup, winning the Champions League is the pinnacle of our success,” he said.
Real Madrid have been rumoured to be one of the clubs that could go for Silva in the summer.
