AS Roma officially brought in last season’s LaLiga top scorer, Artem Dovbyk from Girona FC with a transfer value of 30.5 million euros or equivalent to 270 crore INR.
“AS Roma is delighted to welcome Artem Dovbyk to the Giallorossi family! Roma have reached an agreement with LaLiga club Girona for the permanent transfer of the Ukrainian forward to the Giallorossi,” Roma said in an official statement on Friday.
According to Football Italia’s report, Dovbyk’s transfer value could rise to 38.5 million euros if he performs well with Roma.
Roma further revealed that this is the first time the Italian capital club has finished as top scorer last season in another league.

The 27-year-old joined Girona from Ukrainian club SK Dnipro in the summer of 2023.
He then immediately made a big impact in his first season in the Spanish League, leading Girona to a third-place finish and Champions League qualification.
Dovbyk also won the El Pichichi or top scorer title last season with 24 goals in 36 appearances in LaLiga in his debut season.
With the Ukrainian national team, he has recorded 10 goals in 31 appearances and has represented his country at the 2024 European Championship (EURO).
Dovbyk is certain to wear the number 11 shirt at his new club.
