Two Real Madrid Stars Selected for Spain’s UEFA Nations League Squad

Spain’s Luis de la Fuente Reveals Squad for Upcoming UEFA Nations League Matches

Spain manager Luis de la Fuente has named the squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures, featuring two players from Real Madrid. The 2026 World Cup winners are set to face Czechia away on November 12, followed by a home match against England on November 15.

Included in the squad are Real Madrid’s Dean Huijsen and Marc Cucurella. Huijsen, who missed out on the World Cup, has made a strong return to the national team after a promising start to the season under manager Jose Mourinho. However, the young defender faces tough competition for playing time from Pau Cubarsi and Aymeric Laporte.

Cucurella, a regular fixture in de la Fuente’s selections, will battle Alejandro Grimaldo for a spot in the starting lineup. Meanwhile, Carlos Espi, who received a call-up to the senior squad during the last international break after Ferran Torres’ injury, will not be part of this squad.

Additionally, Alvaro Carreras and Raul Asencio, who is currently sidelined with an injury, will also miss the upcoming matches.

In their second fixture against England, Cucurella and Huijsen will go up against their Real Madrid teammates Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
